My Son's Work

Today I was compelled, I don't know why but I'm following my heart, to post a couple of the works of my oldest son, Kalani, who went to be with THE FATHER some 20+ years ago. He was two days short of being 26 when he left this earth. Maybe I just want you to know that he lived and was loved. He was truly a talented young man who I am sure would have been a first-class visual artist, or for that matter, anything he aspired to be.

This is titled Oya-Shi-Shi. It is a Japanese Kabuki dancer. Multimedia on cardboard from the side of a box.

This was done in graphite and ink.

Kalani, you are missed so very much.

"Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in Heaven." (Matt.5:16 KJV)

  3. I can see Kalani had your talent and gift. I am sure having his beautiful work gives you some comfort with his departing to be with our Father. His brief life on earth couldn't not have been spent with a better mother I'm sure.

Lokelani... I love that painting you did for your other son. It is amazing! It will be something that will be handed down through generations I am sure. Continued blessing to you dear one.

  5. Your son Kalani was truly talented, Lokelani...much like you. Know that each time you paint that some of his spirit resides there shining through. He is the light in your paintings.

That is what I felt when my wife passed in '04.

    Blessings

  10. Lokelani, I've been meaning to comment for a while, but always get sidetracked...just wanted to say thank you for sharing your work and your son's work, so people like myself can find inspiration and simply enjoy. How wonderful to have all that talent in one family. I'm sure you were a big inspiration to your son.
