My Apologies

My apologies for not posting for such a long time...life has been hectic. For now enjoy this painting that I am about to work on. I thought I completed it about three years ago, but now that I look at it I see where much improvement is needed.

It is my granddaughter and I call it "Captive Audience."

I will try to be more timely in posting. I know, I know, I've said that before, but this time I'm really going to work on that.

  1. Wow! I don't know how you can improve this great painting, Lokelani!

  2. Thank you Dean. I think I'm going through a "dry" period. I'm reworking this trying to get the juices flowing again. I can't understand what's going on. I love painting, yet can't seem to get motivated.

  3. I think it the prospect of making a "finished" painting of high quality that locks us up, Lokelani. I suggest that you start about three small ones at once just for the "fun" of painting! Choose simple subject matter.
That should get you up and going! Merely a suggestion.

  4. This is definitely one of my favorites!! Have to agree with Dean that nothing in it needs improvement.

Good luck getting your motivation cranked up.

  5. Hi Lokelani,
Thanks for your comment on my blog. Sorry to hear you have a hard time to get motivated again, sometimes doing some smaller studies helps to get into the groove again.
Lovely painting by the way, I love the strong sense of light you've achieved.

  6. Thank you so much Erik. I will try doing a smaller study and see if that revs up the creative juices.
