New David Update

This is my latest. Major changes, as you can see. The mountains just seemed to overwhelm David and I just felt that had to be changed. I did not want to detract from David. I did finally give him sandals. Still not ready to sign, need to live with it this way for a while.

Mahalo for following this project. Will be back soon with the finish.

  1. You've made some minor adjustments that made a great difference in highlighting David. I love how he seems to be looking up to the heavens and it appears to be lighter and brighter in the direction of his gaze. You've taken much care in rendering the details. You should be very proud of your hard work Lokelani.

  4. Hi Lokelani - I'm just now getting around to seeing the progress of this piece - interesting seeing the changes as they occur. I like that you made the background mountain smaller, now you really focus more on the figure. And I love his fluffy audience!

  5. Thank you so much Pamo and Deborah. Yes, I am happier with the mountains now and I believe I will be finished with this painting within the week. It has truly been a learning process both about King David's life and the painting process.
